Here are some books that talk about science and technology in fun ways, and have been very successful with my teenagers.
The books are ordered roughly in the order of preference of my teens. The one they liked the most (and re-read all the time) is Humble Pi, by Matt Parker. This is the very top of their list. Even the book on the bottom of this list, The Martian, is still a great book that they loved. I, too, read and enjoyed all of them.
